Luke 3:27 …..Zorobabel….. “
As we look at the family album of Jesus, one figure that I really didn’t expand on in prayer meeting Wednesday night was Zorobabel. He is truly an amazing figure and foreshadow of Christ on earth. He led 42,000 Jews back to the homeland after the captivity. He initiated the laying of the foundation of the second temple. Haggai 2 says He will shake heaven and earth. Zechariah 4 says, he will lay the foundation of the house of God, and will finish it. Zorobabel represents God’s faithfulness to His people. He led a physical and spiritual restoration of the house of Israel. His entire life and ministry signifies Hope. He is prophesied to hold the mason’s plummet, signifying the uprightness and straightness of the building of the temple, with its perfection and accuracy. Zorobabel is a remarkable likeness to Christ. What a prophetic and colorful person in Christ’s family album!
