Psalm 67:5-7 “Let all the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God shall bless us.
7. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”
The Bible says, in another place that God inhabits the praises of His people. If that is true and we know it is, every time we praise the Lord, God is there to inhabit that praise.
The word inhabit means to live in, to dwell in, to take a seat in.
As we think of our praises being a seat for God to sit in, it becomes overwhelming to me as I think about it. Do we want God to have a seat near us? If so, praises are the way to get Him near to take a seat in your life. The Palmist here is asking all of us to praise God. The more we praise the more we are assured of His presence near us; that He’s taking a seat in our life.
We are also promised a harvest. The people who pray can be sure of an in crease in harvest, and also the blessing of the Lord, and everyone all over the world can be inhabited at the same time.
What wonderful and precious promises in these few short verses!
